VBS 2018 Volunteer Sign Up

June 25th - June 29th, 2018

VBS 2018 needs you (adults and teens) and your special abilities to help kids discover important truths through activities that connect directly with the day's Bible Point and Bible Verse. Volunteer with a friend, co- worker, or family members while building your faith and relationships. You'll have the opportunity to share time smiling, laughing, and serving while spreading His message to our precious little ones in grades K-6. Every volunteer will be part of an experience to change kid's lives forever, encouraging creativity and faith discovery!
Our theme this year is:
Shipwrecked, Rescued by Jesus

Volunteering is fun and rewarding! If you have been a VBS volunteer before, thank you for continuing to serve each year. If you have never volunteered, try it. You were built for a purpose by God to share your gifts and talents with others. Open your eyes, hearts, and minds to be a part of this special week- June 25-29.

Tabernaclecomplete1a

Family Tabernacle Trip

July 18th, 2018

$6 - $8

We are blessed to live in an area that has a life sized replica of the tabernacle. The Biblical Tabernacle is an intricately designed reproduction of the original Old Testament tabernacle located in Lancaster Pennsylvania.

This summer First Presbyterian Church would like to provide the opportunity for families to “see” Sunday school and Bible lessons come to life. On Wednesday, July 18th we will depart from the parking lot of FPC together at 9:00am. We will head straight to the tabernacle for a guided lecture tour and then enjoy lunch together and spend some time in Lancaster county.

This is a Family Trip so please sign up your Family together with at least one parent coming with us. It will be a great opportunity to experience the Bible together.

For transportation, we will be taking the Church van, but are also hoping some families might be willing to drive themselves or drive together.

You wont want to miss this opportunity to grow closer to God and have a BLAST doing it.

Louisiana flooding 8 2016 300x200

Louisiana Service Trip - DEPOSIT

July 29th - August 4th, 2018

$25

We are pleased to announce that this year instead of doing a Youth trip and an Adult trip, we will be having a combined FPC Service Trip . Signups are open to anyone over 14. This is a great opportunity to serve TOGETHER as parents and teens. But beyond parents, it is a great opportunity to serve as an inter-generational church. So if your a High schooler, you have a high schooler, or you are just looking for an opportunity to serve, this is a great opportunity.

A little about where we will be serving: In 2016, massive flooding occurred in the Baton Rouge area of Louisiana. This has left many still in need of assistance. We will be staying and working in the Denham Springs area on a beautiful horse farm and working in and on the homes of people who are still waiting to get their homes livable again.

NOTE: This is simply the deposit. The total cost of the trip will be between $750-$800 depending on airfare.
